John asks Nora to tell him a little about her family and background and she begins to tell him that she happens to be the only child of her parents but her mom died when she was very little so all along, it was his father who raised her up and they never played with each other at all due to the bond between them but coming over to do her service in the village caused a separation between them because he was against the idea. She then tearfullyexpresses how much she misses her father and how it hurts to see that he never bothered in looking for her ever since they departed and John draws nearer and cuddles her in consolation.
Doctor Duah arrives in the hacienda and Sofia goes to welcome him and introduces herself as Gabriela’s elderly daughter after he asked who she was. After the introduction, doctor Duah mentions to Sofia that her mother has told him a lot about them and the kind of stress they make her go through hence, causing harm to her health and he warns them to be careful not to kill their mother with that bad attitude of theirs and Fernando leads him to see Gabriela upstairs, leaving Sofia looking so dumb with his sudden way of talking to her.
John encourages Nora to forget about the past and continue with the kind of treatment she’s giving to the people in the village because she’ll one day reap every good thing she sows and also, she’ll gain all the happiness she wants in due time and Nora smiles and kisses him.
After attending to Gabriela, Sofia asks doctor Duah how her mother is faring and he goes again by yelling at Sofia that she’s not even ashamed to ask him that question when she and her other sisters are the cause of her mother’s condition and Damian cuts in and tells him to mindful of the way he speaks to Sofia because if only he knew the kind of woman she is, he wouldn’t be addressing her in that manner.
Sofia also angrily mentions to doctor Duah that she doesn’t know what her mother has been telling him but if she’s going through all these, then it’s as a result of her own wicked intentions and he replies that he isn’t surprise with her (Sofia) kind of attitude because everything shows she’s disrespectful. He then tells Sofia that her behaviour reminds him of her daughter who’s also arrogant and disrespectful and Sofia tells him not to speak ill of his own daughter because she may have her reasons for acting the way she did and she asks if he even support her daughter in achieving her goals and he stands looking guilty and speechless.
Doctor Duah later sits with Sofia and explains the entire story concerning his daughter to her and Sofia makes him to understand that he shouldn’t have abandoned his daughter all because what she wants to go far away and help others and even aside that, she can’t stay with him forever like he wants. She then sadly narrates her story to him about losing her daughter to the man she ever loved without having any idea of where they could be, whetherdead or alive and she tells him that, he’s even lucky to have his daughter alive so he must try and look for her before it’s too late.
Back in the village, Sylvester tells John he thinks the horse belongs to him due to how it behaves whenever it sees him and he also informs him that a young man once came to the village to search for his missing brother but he couldn’t tell him because Nora told him not to and John gets confused.
Sofia goes to check if there’s any news about John and her daughter but she’s being informed that after posting John’s photo all over, no one has reported of seeing him anywhere and also they’re still putting things in place tolocate her daughter in all the orphanages and Sofia pleads to be given the names of those orphanages so that she can also go and see if she’ll be able to identify her daughter and after being given the list of the orphanages and she starts visiting the place one at a time to meet the children who were also born on the same day she gave birth.
Father Teddy visits Franco and Oscar and through their conversation, he suggests that they hold a burial service for John and ask God to grant him a safe place to rest till they meet again because he strongly believes he’s no more because if he was, he would have showed up long ago so they need to face reality that their brother is dead.
They then seriously objects to Father’s suggestion of holding a burial service for their brother because to them, he’s still alive and would definitely return even if it should take years but Father proves to them that John really loves them and no matter the circumstance, he can’t make his mind to be far away from them for so long like that so they should bear with him and face reality and you could see how difficult and painful it was for them to accept.
John irately confronts Nora as to why she never mentioned to him that someone came looking for his lost brother and for all she knows, that person could be him and suddenly, he starts to feel dizzy and tells Nora that he feels something is not right. Meanwhile, Oscar and Franco dig a grave and buries his shirt and prays that he rests well in peace and Father Teddy and the congregation also holds a burial service on his behalf as he departs from the living.

Sofia goes to explain to Mr. Augustin about how Gabriela fell into a deep pit on the compound during the night which almost led her to her death if it hadn’t been for the help of Damian who got her out of it. She continues by asking herself who could have created that pit without Gabriela’s knowledge and Mr. Augustin mentions that he once saw Rosendo and the guards digging on the compound and he thinks it was Fernando who ordered them to do so and Sofia adds that she’s even scared because now that Gabriela has made Fernando her right hand man, it’s possible he can do anything at all cost just to get rid of her and have all the properties to himself. Mr. Augustin then asks whom Damian is and just as Sofia tries answering, Damian walks in and introduces himself to Mr. Augustine. He the questions Damian as to the kind of relationship he has with his granddaughter and Damian not hiding any fact from him, he states it clear that he’s very much interested in Sofia his granddaughter.
Time for the battle between John and the priest is due and one of the villagers goes to whisper into John ‘s ears and pleads with him to do his very best to conquer that fetish priest because he’s evil and deserves to be put in his right position.
Sofia tries denying Damian’s confession for having interest in her and Mr. Augustin tells her to be straight forward with him and let him know his stand and again, he goes ahead to ask Damian if he’s aware Sofia once had a man in her life and he answers that yes and Augustine advises him to prepared to face John when he returns because he doesn’t tolerate nonsense.

Mr. Agyekum then declares John as the winner and he gives way to him and Nora to carry on with the vaccination and cautions the priest to allow himself to be vaccinated as well else, he’ll have to leave the village for good.
Doctor Duah tells Gabriela to stop blaming her daughters as the cause of her illness because after speaking with Sofia, he has realised the kind of woman she is and listening to her carefully makes him to understand that he has no bad intentions against her nor wishes to see her die but Gabriela passes a comment tha she isn’t surprised her daughter has succeeded in convincing him with her deceit because she’s very good at that.
Jemima comes out of her room to see what’s really going on in the house so far and Eva arrives to ask Sarah if she can permit her to see Jemima in her room and after giving her the go ahead, Jemima quickly rushes into her bed to carry on with her pretence. Eva and Sarah get to her room and after Eva spoke to her intensely about how she truly cares and loves them like they were her own, tears begins to flow down Jemima’s eyes and as a surprise, Eva asks if she heard all that she said and tearfully, she nods and hugs Eva, telling her that she can’t let her suffer for nothing and she forgives her for her mistake as well. Sarah looking quite surprise about Jemima’s sudden recovery, she also draws nearer to Eva and forgives her as well and together, they hug themselves.
Gabriela starts to shear crocodile tears as she listens to doctor Duah with the kind of advice he gives her on being humble and also clearing any pain and doubts in the heart in other to live longer in peace and irately, she asks him to get out of her sight and never attend to her ever again. Doctor Duah then tells her he’ll leave but anytime she’ll call upon him for any medication, he’ll be ever ready to attend to her because it’s his job but Gabriela angrily asks him to leave and that even if she’s at the verge of dying, she’ll never call for his help.
Mr. Augustin strictly warns Fernando to be very careful with his daughter Gabriela because no matter how she may be, he’s still her father and wouldn’t allow him to destroy her because he knows all his evil plans and when the right time comes, he’ll learn to know that Gabriela isn’t alone and has a strong hold to defend her in his arms and Fernando starts to argue with Mr. Augustine for making that statement.

He then states that as their tradition goes, he (priest) and John must fight a battle and that whoever wins will get to continue his work in the village.
